Itinerary

Day 1. The Songs of the Jungle

Enjoy and feel the cultural roots of the Guapireño, learn the most important details of the territory, and to the rhythm of marimba enjoy a musical ensemble with traditional teachers

11:00 am: check in at the hotel.

12:30 m: Typical lunch at the Roots of Land and Sea Restaurant where you will discover with our

traditional connoisseurs the secrets of the seasoning of traditional Pacific cuisine. Includes traditional and ancestral drink from the Pacific.

2:00 pm. Afro and indigenous crafts, we will also visit crafts derived from the coconut shell. You will have the opportunity to learn details about the crafts made from straw (teapot), with which they make hats, bags, fans, individual items, among others. It’s time to make your purchases.

3:00 pm. Tour to the main square, here you begin to connect with the history of Guapi, learn about customs, festivals, important aspects of the Guapireña population, its religiosity and spirituality.

We will visit the market square, the main wall, La Pola Park and the cathedral.

4:00 pm. Visit Casa del Río where you will live an experience to the rhythm of marimba, loaded with lots of dance and traditional songs from the South Pacific that were declared intangible heritage of humanity by UNESCO. Be part of this musical ensemble.

5:30 pm. I love Guapi, Instagram moment. Tell the story about the transformation of the site. You will enjoy a spectacular view of the river and the sunset.

7:30 pm. Guapireña Dinner.

Day 2: Joanico, sowing knowledge.

Let yourself be carried away by the magic of medicinal plants and spices that communities grow on rooftops. Venture to enjoy the benefits that our river offers you by taking a pony ride combined with fishing and recreational swimming activities.

ITINERARY

7:00 am. Departure towards Joanico.

7:40 am. Reception, ritual medicinal plants. Tour of the community. Visit rooftops (Includes the adaptation and planting of rooftop plants. The group will leave a rooftop installed from which they will later receive audiovisual material at the time of harvest and food or medicinal use as the case may be).

Singing: Tour on a pony along the river with our knowledgeable women who will share some anecdotes and stories with us; They will decorate the route with their vogue songs. Aromatic tasting with rooftop plants.

12:30 pm. Lunch.

Day 2. Quiroga, The Haunting of the Mangrove

Connect with nature where the roar of the sea meets the backwater of the river. Immerse yourself in the experience of clamming on the beach together with our experts, who will share the techniques of this artisanal method of collecting mollusks. Adventure and learn about artisanal fishing gear in the sea, enjoy a fishing task with our fishermen.

ITINERARY

Departure to the Bocana de Quiroga Playa Obregones where you will live one of these artisanal fishing experiences:

Clamming: Collecting this shell on the beach, our experts explain how this work is done, deliver the necessary materials and on the beach we prepare to collect clams.
Pianguar: We enter the mangrove, our knowledgeable women guide us and teach us about this ancient art; the harvesting of the Piangua. (mollusk that lives in the mangrove)
Artisanal fishing: Directed by Don Teodoro, we live the adventure of a fishing task in the sea, (“we take a haul”: lay and collect the nets), we see how fish, crab, shrimp, among others, are trapped in the nets. others.

Day 3: Gorgon, An encounter with Whales

Very early at dawn our adventure continues, after approximately 1.5 hours of travel at sea, Gorgona welcomes us with its exuberant humid tropical jungle considered the science island, being a national treasure of biodiversity and conservation.

ITINERARY

7:00 am. Departure towards the PNN Gorgona.

9:00 am Registration and induction talk at the PNN Gorgona.

9:30 Departure to Playa Palmeras, here there is a path where it is necessary to have pantanera boots, the walk to the beach is 30 minutes where we will be approximately 2 hours. This is an ideal place to swim, enjoy sunbathing and you will delight in a special shrimp ceviche on the beach.

01:00 pm. Lunch.

2:30 pm. Return to the Island, departure to meet whales; Complement this activity by watching whales from the viewpoint, where you can witness the jumps, flaps and flaps of the cetaceans.

7:00 pm. Dinner and overnight on Gorgona Island.
